Do you want to contribute to secure and accessible communication in Sweden?
PTS is about to merge with Digg to create a larger authority at the forefront of digitalization, and you will be an important part of building something new. A mission with both breadth, societal benefit, and great development potential.
We work with what everyone takes for granted. The ability to communicate. With us, you will ensure that it works now and in the future. For everyone.
Communication drives change and develops both people, organizations, and society. When communication works, everything works better – and that conviction shapes our work in the communications department. We are facing an exciting transition as PTS and Digg become a new authority, which requires development power and strong change communication. Today, we are 12 people who together build a modern and effective communication function. We renew ourselves, develop, and create more effects.
“My name is Christina Kilström, and I am the acting communications manager at PTS since August 1, 2025. I lead a team of 12 employees focused on courage, innovation, and responsibility. My goal is to create an environment where collaborations work, trust is high, and energy is contagious. Through close dialogue, I want every employee to feel seen, motivated, and involved. We have an important mission – to contribute to secure and accessible communication in Sweden – and we do it with pride, commitment, and joy at work.”
About the role
In the role of communicator, you will plan, coordinate, and implement communication efforts within total defense, with a particular focus on PTS's mission as the sector-responsible preparedness authority for electronic communication and postal services. You will work both strategically and operationally with communication within security, total defense, and crisis preparedness, and you will be responsible for independently planning, implementing, and following up on various initiatives.
The work involves leading and participating in projects as well as providing communication advice and support, primarily to the operations within the division for societal needs. You will collaborate closely internally on issues related to preparedness, total defense, and robust electronic communications to contribute to the development of the organization. The role also involves collaboration with authorities and external actors within the total defense area.
You will also participate in joint communication work across authorities, both independently and together with colleagues, and actively contribute to the development of the department.
About you
We are looking for someone who works collaboratively, puts the team before themselves, and is eager to support and help colleagues. You listen actively, are curious, and see feedback as an opportunity to develop. A relationship-building approach comes naturally to you – you create trusting collaborations, contribute positive energy, and make complex needs understandable through clear communication efforts.
You work in a structured manner, keep timelines, and maintain order in your communication work. You easily identify communication needs and create well-thought-out plans, and you follow up on the effects of what you do. You are a strong communicator who writes well-formulated texts in correct English, uses plain language, and ensures that messages truly reach the recipient. Your personal qualities are important to us, which is why we will place great emphasis on these.
We are looking for you who have:
- an academic degree or other post-secondary education in media and communication science or another relevant field.
- several years of experience in strategic and operational communication work related to total defense and preparedness issues.
- experience acting as a client towards external providers of communication services.
It is also meritorious if you have:
- relevant experience from a government authority or other organization related to total defense and preparedness issues.
- work experience within the Swedish system for preparedness and total defense.
- work experience in protection against undue information influence.
- work experience in communication work within digitalization issues.
